The Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 65A is a highly efficient and versatile battery protection device suitable for a wide range of applications. With its advanced features and Bluetooth capability, it ensures the optimal performance and longevity of your battery.

Features:

• Protects the battery against excessive discharge and can be used as a system on/off switch. The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged, preventing damage to the battery. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch.
• 12/24V auto-ranging: The Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects system voltage, simplifying installation and setup.
• Bluetooth: programming made easy. Using Bluetooth, you can easily program the Smart BatteryProtect and set desired engage/disengage levels. Alternatively, you can choose from nine predefined engage/disengage levels using the programming pin. Bluetooth can be disabled if needed.
• A special setting for Li-ion batteries: The BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS in Li-ion battery applications. It can also be used as a charge interrupter between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery.
• Ultra-low current consumption: This feature is particularly important for Li-ion batteries, especially after low voltage shutdown. Refer to the Li-ion battery datasheet and VE.Bus BMS manual for more information.
• Over-voltage protection: To safeguard sensitive loads from over-voltage, the Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the load whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3V or 32.6V.
• Ignition proof: The Smart BatteryProtect utilizes MOSFET switches instead of relays, eliminating sparks and ensuring safety.
• Delayed alarm output: The alarm output activates if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level for more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine does not trigger the alarm. The alarm output is typically used to activate a buzzer, LED, or relay.
• Delayed load disconnect and reconnect: The load is disconnected 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset level. If the battery voltage increases to the reconnect threshold within this time period (e.g., after starting the engine), the load remains connected. The load is reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset reconnect voltage.
