The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP22 12V 20A 3-Bank 120V Dry Charger is a professional battery charger that comes with built-in Bluetooth technology. It is designed for use on various devices such as cars, motorbikes, boats, and camper-vans, making it suitable for both workshop and mobile applications.

The charger features Bluetooth Smart technology, allowing you to monitor voltage and current, change settings, and update the charger wirelessly when new features become available.

With its high efficiency, the Blue Smart IP22 Charger generates up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard chargers, thanks to its up to 94% efficiency. Additionally, it consumes only 0.5 Watt of power once the battery is fully charged, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

The charger utilizes an adaptive 6-stage charge algorithm, including test, bulk, absorption, recondition, float, and storage modes. This microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management optimizes the charging process based on how the battery is being used.

In storage mode, the charger reduces the float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. This feature prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation, which can cause early battery failure. Once a week, the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to equalize the battery.

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is not limited to traditional lead-acid batteries but is also capable of charging Li-ion batteries using a simple bulk-absorption-float algorithm.

Even if the battery has been fully discharged to zero volts, the charger includes a recovery function that initiates charging and can reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with its internal disconnect function.

The charger offers NIGHT and LOW settings, where the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output, making it noiseless during operation. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours, while the LOW mode can be manually ended.

It is designed to be protected against overheating, with the output current reducing as the temperature increases up to 50&degC, ensuring the charger continues to operate without failure.

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger provides eleven LEDs for status indication, displaying the charge algorithm and mode settings. The charge algorithm LEDs include TEST, BULK, ABSORPTION, RECONDITION, FLOAT, STORAGE, and READY. The MODE button allows you to set the charger to NORMAL (14.4V), HIGH (14.7V), RECONDITION, or LI-ION mode.
