The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP22 12V 20A 1-Bank 120V Dry Charger is a professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth technology. It is designed for use on devices in your workshop as well as motor vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, boats, and camper-vans.

Bluetooth Smart:

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is equipped with wireless Bluetooth functionality, allowing you to monitor voltage and current, change settings, and update the charger when new features become available.

High Efficiency:

With up to 94% efficiency, this charger generates up to four times less heat compared to industry standards. Additionally, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to only 0.5 Watt, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm:

The Blue Smart Charger features a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management system. This adaptive feature optimizes the charging process based on how the battery is being used, ensuring efficient and effective charging.

Storage Mode:

When the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours, the storage mode kicks in. In this mode, the float voltage is reduced to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates, thereby reducing maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use. The charger also periodically raises the voltage to equalize the battery, preventing stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation.

Li-ion Battery Charging:

This charger is compatible with Li-ion batteries and charges them using a simple bulk-absorption-float algorithm.

Fully Discharged Battery Recovery Function:

The charger will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It can also reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with its internal disconnect function.

NIGHT and LOW Setting:

In NIGHT or LOW mode, the charger reduces the output current to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output, resulting in a noiseless operation. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours, while the LOW mode can be manually ended.

Overheating Protection:

The charger is protected against overheating. As the temperature increases up to 50&degC, the output current will reduce, but the Blue Smart Charger will not fail.

Status Indication:

The charger features eleven LEDs that indicate the charge algorithm, including TEST, BULK, ABSORPTION, RECONDITION, FLOAT, STORAGE, and READY. The MODE button allows you to set the charging mode, including NORMAL, HIGH, RECONDITION, and LI-ION.
