The Victron Energy Blue Smart IP22 12V 15A 1 Bank 120V Dry Charger is a professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed for use in workshops and on motor vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, boats, and camper-vans.

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger offers wireless monitoring of voltage and current, allowing you to change settings and update the charger with new features via Bluetooth.

With up to 94% efficiency, this charger generates significantly less heat compared to the industry standard, making it more energy-efficient. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to a mere 0.5 Watt, which is five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Featuring an adaptive 6-stage charge algorithm, the Blue Smart Charger optimizes the charging process based on how the battery is being used. The stages include test, bulk, absorption, recondition, float, and storage.

The storage mode of the charger reduces maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use. It automatically activates when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours, reducing the float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion. Additionally, the charger will periodically raise the voltage back to the absorption level to prevent stratification of the electrolyte and sulfation.

This charger is also capable of charging Li-ion batteries using a simple bulk-absorption-float algorithm.

In case of a fully discharged battery, the Blue Smart Charger includes a recovery function that initiates charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It can also reconnect to a fully discharged Li-ion battery with an internal disconnect function.

The charger offers NIGHT and LOW settings, which reduce the output current to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output, resulting in a noiseless operation. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours, while the LOW mode can be manually ended.

It is protected against overheating, as the output current gradually reduces as the temperature increases up to 50&degC. The charger will not fail due to overheating.

Eleven LEDs provide status indication for the charge algorithm, including TEST, BULK, ABSORPTION, RECONDITION, FLOAT, STORAGE, and READY. The MODE button allows you to set the charger to NORMAL (14.4V), HIGH (14.7V), RECONDITION, or LI-ION mode.
