The Startech.com ST1218T 8 Port VGA Video Extender over Cat5 is the perfect solution for extending and distributing a VGA signal to up to 8 displays over Cat5 cable. With a maximum transfer distance of 492 feet (150 meters), this extender allows you to conveniently distribute VGA video using standard Cat 5 (or better) cabling.

To use the ST1218T, you will need one ST121R Receiver Unit per display that you are connecting. For even greater versatility, you can use the ST121EXT VGA over Cat 5 Repeater to extend the distance between the transmitter and receiver by an additional 492 feet (150 meters), for a total distance of 984 feet (300 meters). You can also cascade up to 3 repeater units between the transmitter and receiver, enabling you to connect monitors at each repeater while still extending the total distance.

The Cat 5 extension feature allows you to make use of existing Ethernet infrastructure wiring to extend VGA video, providing a cost-effective and convenient solution. The pure hardware design of the ST1218T ensures easy installation and setup, with no software or drivers required.
