The NSx 3009 comes with the next-generation C-MAP® DISCOVER X™ marine-optimized charts, providing a fresh and intuitive chart presentation with daily updates. These charts offer full-featured Vector Charts with Custom Depth Shading and High-Resolution Bathymetry, allowing for accurate contour lines down to a 1-foot level of detail. The NSx also supports C-MAP REVEAL X charts with coastal, seafloor, and inland Shaded Relief. Planning and route plotting are made easier with Tides and Currents projections and the fastest ever Autorouting. The chartplotter also features a Map Inspection feature for quick access to information on locations, POIs, tides, channels, and more.

The Simrad Companion App acts as an extension of the NSx 3009, providing the same chart experiences and access to chart data on or off the water. The app allows for trip planning, track review, and waypoint plotting, with seamless synchronization to the NSx.
