SILVERADO 4000 TYPE B1-15 OUTBOARD FUEL LINE (DOMETIC)

The Silverado 4000 Type B1-15 Outboard Fuel Line is designed to be resistant to ethanol blended fuels, making it a reliable choice for boat owners. This hose is EPA and CARB compliant and features a THV barrier layer to prevent permeation, polyester reinforcement for strength, and a weather and UV resistant CPE cover. The gray color of the hose helps to keep it cooler and prevent vapor lock, making it suitable for above deck primer bulb applications. It is important to note that this hose is not fire retardant and meets SAE J1527 Type B1-15 standards.

WARNING - Special care should be taken when coupling Shields series 331, 337, and 368 EPA approved barrier fuel hoses. Always use a lubricant when inserting a fitting, and avoid using silicone as it may cause coupling retention issues. Over-sized fittings should not be used, as they may result in damage to the barrier layer. Sierra recommends the use of Oetiker stepless ear clamps or worm drive clamps to attach the fuel hose, and advises against using wire ties or spring tension clamps. Over-tightening a worm drive clamp may result in damage to the inner layer and cause fuel to get in between the layers, leading to blockages in the fuel flow.
