The Tekonsha Shur-Set III Breakaway Kit is designed for use on single, tandem, and tri-axle trailers equipped with electric brakes. It mounts on the jackpost or A-frame and features quick, easy one-bolt installation without the need for cutting or drilling. The rust-proof heavy-duty polyethylene plastic case protects the battery and charger from the elements and corrosion. This breakaway kit meets or exceeds D.O.T. specifications regarding breakaway/holding requirements, and most states require a breakaway switch with a separate power supply when towing a trailer.
