The Icom M85Ul is an intrinsically safe, ultra-compact handheld VHF marine radio with a power output of 5W. It is the smallest, lightest, and toughest radio available in the market today. Built to MIL-STD 810, it can withstand hazardous and inhospitable environments at sea and on land. With an IP67 waterproof rating, the M85Ul protects the radio even if accidentally dropped in the water.

Full-Featured

The M85Ul features a user-friendly display with icons and indicators for transmit power, VOX ON/OFF, battery status, scan, weather channel, and more. These icons and indicators enhance the user experience and operation. The radio also includes a continuous 20-position rotary selector and an ON/OFF volume knob, conveniently tilted for easy access.

In emergency situations, the M85Ul offers the MOB Alarm, Man Down, and lone worker functions, automatically activating an emergency alarm when needed. The built-in voice scrambler allows for private communications between stations, and the multi-function button on the top of the radio can be assigned to the scrambler function for easy activation. Additionally, the multi-function button can be used to switch between marine and land mobile frequencies.

Land Mobile Use

Aside from VHF marine channels, the M85Ul also covers land mobile frequencies ranging from 136 to 174MHz. It supports up to 100 programmable channels for land mobile use at 2W output power. Each channel is programmable with CTCSS and DTCS tone. Please note that proper licensing is required to operate within these land mobile frequencies.

The M85Ul is specifically designed to withstand harsh environments and is submersible. It is perfect for commercial customers working in challenging conditions.
