A temperature gauge operates by sending a low amperage current through the gauge's meter to ground via a sending unit with variable resistance. The resistance of the sending units changes with pressure, temperature, and other factors. As the sender's resistance varies, the meter deflects, showing the temperature.

This water temperature gauge is available in different variations to suit different systems. It is compatible with MG systems, J1939 CAN Bus or J1939 Stand-Alone systems, and mechanical types. It offers the flexibility to choose between standard (100-250&degF) or metric (40-120&degC) readings. Additionally, it is available with or without warning lights for added convenience.
