It provides tool-less support for 4-post racks with square or unthreaded round mounting holes, making it compatible with all generations of Dell racks. Additionally, it offers tooled mounting support in 4-post threaded racks and 2-post (Telco) racks, adding versatility to its usage.

The static rails are specifically designed to support a wide variety of racks, although they do not facilitate serviceability in the rack and are therefore not compatible with the CMA (Cable Management Arm).
