The APC AP8931 power distribution unit (PDU) is a black, zeroU rack-mounted device that features 8 AC outlets. It is designed to provide advanced power control and active monitoring capabilities. With remote outlet level controls, it allows for power on/off functionality to remotely reboot equipment and prevent unauthorized use of individual outlets. The power sequencing delays enable users to define the order in which attached equipment powers up or down. By prioritizing load shedding, it helps avoid circuit overload during power recovery and extends the uptime of critical equipment. Real-time remote monitoring of connected loads is made possible through current metering. The switched rack PDU also includes a temperature/humidity sensor port, locking IEC receptacles, and low-profile circuit breakers. User-defined alarms warn of potential circuit overloads before critical IT failures occur. The APC AP8931 can be accessed, configured, and controlled through secure Web, SNMP, or Telnet interfaces. It is compatible with APC Centralized Management platforms including InfraStruxure Central, Capacity Manager, and Change Manager.
